Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

According to the player's agent, the Atlanta Falcons are signing San Francisco 49ers tight end Charlie Woerner to a three-year deal reportedly worth $12 million. The impending unrestricted free agent's contract can be officially signed on Wednesday, the start of the new league year.

San Francisco selected Woerner (6-5, 241) out of Georgia in the sixth round (No. 190 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. According to Pro Football Reference, he recorded three receptions for 32 yards in 17 game appearances (two starts) this past season. The tight end landed on injured reserve on January 6 due to a high-ankle sprain.

Woerner, 26, has caught 11 passes for 120 yards in 65 game appearances (seven starts) over his four NFL seasons.
