The NFL schedule release was earlier this week, and the Arizona Cardinals now know what their regular season schedule looks like. The Cardinals didn’t have a great year last year, but Arizona fans are still excited for the season. Here are predictions for all 17 regular season games.

Week 1 at Buffalo Bills

The Cardinals will start the season with a difficult matchup as they will be hitting the road to take on the Bills. Buffalo has been a consistent playoff team in recent years and they have come close to winning the AFC. They haven’t been able to get it done, but they are hungry to get back to the postseason this year. They will start their season with a home victory. LOSS.

Week 2 vs. Los Angeles Rams

Another playoff team is on the schedule for week two as the Cardinals will play their first home game against the Rams. Los Angeles had a good season last year after a disappointing campaign the previous season, and they once again have high hopes for 2024. This is going to be a tough one for the Cardinals, and they aren’t going to get the win. LOSS.

Week 3 vs. Detroit Lions

The first three weeks of the season are going to be difficult for the Cardinals. The Lions will be in town in week three, and they are expected to be one of the best teams in the league once again this season. Detroit made it all the way to the NFC Championship game last season, and they had a 17-point second half lead in that game. They ended up losing, but they could very well make it back there this year. They will make the Cardinals 0-3. LOSS.

Week 4 vs. Washington Commanders

Things get a little bit easier for the Cardinals in week four as they will be taking on the Commanders at home. Washington was one of the worst teams in the NFL last season, and they aren’t going to be very good next year either. This is a good opportunity for the Cardinals to pick up their first win of the season, and they will find a way to do it. WIN.

Week 5 at San Francisco 49ers

Right back to playing playoff teams in week five as the Cardinals will travel to San Francisco to take on the defending NFC champs. The 49ers are going to be one of the best teams in football again next year, and the Cardinals aren’t going to be able to hang around with them. They will play each other twice, and round one will go to San Francisco. LOSS.

Week 6 at Green Bay Packers

The early parts of the schedule are doing the Cardinals no favors. They will take on another playoff team from last season as they will hit the road to play the Packers in week six. Green Bay got hot at the end of last year after a rough start to the season, and they were close to knocking off the 49ers on the road in the playoffs. They are going to be good this season, and they will beat the Cardinals. LOSS.

Week 7 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are going to be an interesting team to watch this year. Jim Harbaugh is back in the NFL and he is now the head coach in Los Angeles, and he should be able to turn the team around after a disappointing season last year. Harbaugh has been a winner at every stop, and it would be silly to expect that to change now. The Chargers will win this matchup. LOSS.

Week 8 at Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are another team that made the playoffs last season, and the schedule will start to get easier for the Cardinals after this one. Arizona will be traveling to Miami for this game, and it’s going to be a tough one for them. The Dolphins have a ton of weapons, and they are going to be good this season. They will get a victory in week eight. LOSS.

Week 9 vs. Chicago Bears

The Bears will have Caleb Williams next year and Chicago fans are hoping that he can be the guy to turn the team around. He was the number one overall pick in the draft, and he is expected to be a star. The Bears are expected to win this game, but it is on the road, and that is always tricky. The Cardinals will find a way to get the win. WIN.

Week 10 vs. New York Jets

Aaron Rodgers and the Jets will be in town for a week 10 clash, and New York should be better this year if Rodgers can stay healthy. However, he is no longer in his prime and the Jets have a lot of other issues that need to be dealt with. They might not be as good as people think. The Cardinals will get it done in week 10 at home. WIN.

Week 11 – BYE

Week 12 at Seattle Seahawks

The Cardinals will be on the road for week 12 as they will be taking on the Seahawks. This will be a tricky game as it is on the road and the Seahawks should have a solid squad next year. The division is going to be tough for Arizona, and Seattle will will round one between these two teams. LOSS.

Week 13 at Minnesota Vikings

Next up for the Cardinals is the Vikings. Minnesota just drafted JJ McCarthy with the 10th overall pick in the NFL Draft, and it will be interesting to see if he wins the starting job. Minnesota wasn’t great last year with a backup QB, so they need to get that position figured out. Still, they will defend home turf and beat Arizona in week 13. LOSS.

Week 14 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Round two between the Seahawks and Cardinals will be two weeks after round one, and Arizona will be at home for this one. Unfortunately, the home-field advantage isn’t going to change much for the Cardinals. The Seahawks will come into town and get a win, and that will finish a season sweep of the Cardinals. LOSS.

Week 15 vs. New England Patriots

The Patriots are going to be another interesting team to watch this year because of their QB situation. Will Drake Maye be able to turn things around for New England in year one? There is a lot to ask from the rookie QB, and it would be surprising to see the Patriots take major strides in his first year. The Cardinals will win this one. WIN.

Week 16 at Carolina Panthers

This is one of the best chances for the Cardinals to get a win next season as the Panthers were one of the worst teams in the league last year. We’ll see if Bryce Young can get things going this season, but it’s hard to imagine Carolina being that good. Arizona can get this road victory. WIN.

Week 17 at Los Angeles Rams

Round one between these two teams went to the Rams in Arizona, and Los Angeles will get things done at home as well. The Cardinals have a tough division, and they will be swept by the Rams. LOSS.

Week 18 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Tough one to close out the season here. The 49ers will come to town in week 18, and they will sweep the Cardinals as well. San Francisco is just too good, and the only hope for Arizona is if the 49ers will be resting people because of the playoffs. LOSS.

Final Record: 5-12
