The Tennessee Vols are working to steal an Ole Miss commit from Lane Kiffin

The Tennessee Vols are working to steal a four-star commit from Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels.

2025 four-star linebacker Jarcoby Hopson committed to Ole Miss in late April, but that hasn't stopped rival programs from pursuing the Mississippi native.

Tennessee linebackers coach William Inge visited Hopson this week in an attempt to swipe the talented recruit from the Rebels.

Hopson, 6-foot-1/205 lbs, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 22 linebacker in the nation and the No. 7 player in the state of Mississippi.

Tennessee wasn't included on Hopson's list of top 10 schools last December, but that isn't stopping the Vols from pursuing him.

It seems unlikely that Tennessee will be able to flip Hopson -- especially since he's from Mississippi -- but if Inge can quickly build a solid relationship with the young linebacker, while also getting him to Knoxville for a visit, maybe the Vols can find a way to pull off an upset in this recruiting battle.

Tennessee currently has nine players committed to its 2025 recruiting class.
